Its about time I updated this journal. So what's new? My research paper presented in Italy :D, an honourable mention in the Big Cat Artwork Contest :aww:, my new canon 550D :boogie:, yay! Italy The trip to Italy was awesome! I was quite nervous about presenting the research paper (I'm terrible at public speaking), but it went quite well I think. (Plane rides have really come a long way since I last flew in terms of on-board entertainment, but I've discovered that having good seats really makes all the difference.) This year seems to have gone so quickly when I look back at how little a dent I feel I've made on my master's dissertation (even though its more work than most of my peers). But I decided to focus more on my personal projects these holidays (what else are year-end holidays for?). Time for me to focus on my dissertation before the semester's out (one week to be exact)! BUT I've done some artwork recently. I'm trying to get familiar with animal anatomy so I'm gonna try drawing more realistically (since I failed so badly when drawing stylized big cats without understanding their underlying anatomy). Its winter holidays, yay... I'm busy with more work than ever, awww... Wow already a deviant for 3 months, time flies heh. But I uploaded the last lot of photos today and I'll try and make some more time to upload more drawings (I actually uploaded a drawing today! Be proud of me dammit :shakefist:!). I just recently got Photoshop CS2 working on my PC. Previously it kept crashing during the install process. So now I'm just busy getting the hang of it since its really quite different form the rather ancient PaintShopPro 7 I've used previously. Maybe sometime soon I'll steal ~RioFox (https://www.deviantart.com/riofox)'s graphics tablet and try it out with CS2 ilish (https://www.deviantart.com/ilish) A
